About Our Business

3D Metal Fabrication is a new company founded in July of 2003, however the owners
are not new to the industry. Together  they have racked up over 80 years  experience
in the metal working and precision sheet metal working industry. Experience is what
sets 3D Metal fabrication apart from it's competition. If you have design questions they
will help you, if there is a better way to manufacture your product they will suggest it
and pass those savings onto you, the customer.
Here is a brief biography of the three owners.

David Martin
Dave, a native Californian,  was born into the metal working industry. In 1973 he
worked for his father as a machinist. In 1975 he was introduced to sheet metal
fabrication and was hooked. Three years later in 1978 he founded Fab-Tek Precision
Sheet Metal in Huntington Beach. Eleven Years later Fab-Tek was sold and became
Fabcon which Dave stayed on to run as COO until 2003 when he left to form 3D Metal
Fabrication.

Wilson Phan
Wilson was involved in the machining industry in Viet Nam before coming to America
in 1980. He Landed a job at a sheet metal / machine shop as an inspector where he
learned the precision sheet metal trade. In 1984 he was employed at Fab-Tek and
was with the company for 19 yrs as the QC Manager and Manufacturing Engineer
until he left the company to form 3D Metal Fabrication.

Manuel Jimenez
Manuel (Manny) was also born into the metal working industry. His father owned a
blacksmith shop in Mexico where Manny a age 10 learned the art of heating and
hammering metal into a variety of shapes. Manny was introduced to sheet metal after
he immigrated to America in 1976. He had worked as a welder and fabricator in
several sheet metal shops before he found his real nitch as a leader. He was hired
into Fabcon in 1989 where he managed a manufacturing crew that grew from 30 to
300 employees. In 2003 he left the company to join forces with Dave and Wilson to
form 3D Metal Fabrication.
